Windows Communication Foundation Courseware Using .NET 4.5
February 18, 2013.
Object Innovations today released an update to .NET 4.5 and Visual Studio 2012 of its
course on Windows Communication Foundation:
Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) is Microsoft’s new framework for building distributed systems.
It unifies and builds on older distributive technologies such as ASP.NET Web services and .NET remoting.
WCF is a large, complex technology. Its sheer size can make it quite intimidating, and the learning curve
can be steep. But if the basic principles
are grasped and you have practice using it in some basic scenarios, you should be equipped to apply it in your
applications and to learn more.
The newest version of the course discusses new bindings in WCF 4.5, gives an example of using
the task-based asynchronous pattern, and mentions WebSockets. Examples use .NET 4.5 and Visual Studio 2012.
Shipments of the new courseware begin immediately.
