Updated Courseware in ASP.NET MVC 4
April 15, 2013.
Object Innovations today released an updated course on ASP.NET MVC 4 for C# developers using
Visual Studio 2012 and .NET 4.5.
This Web development framework from Microsoft, following the Model-View-Controller design pattern,
emphasizes separation of concerns in the architecture
and testability of applications. The updated course now includes a long chapter on ASP.NET Web API.
Also, the chapter on Routing has been rewritten, with more explanation. The Model chapter now uses
Entity Framework 5 and the LocalDB version of SQL Server 2012 Express, which is bundled with Visual Studio 2012.
The course is a quite thorough introduction to ASP.NET MVC programming using C#. It endeavors to
give insight into how ASP.NET MVC works as well as provide how-to instruction. The course is hands-on,
with numerous programming examples and exercises and in-class demonstrations that can be led by
the instructor. It can be delivered using any version of Visual Studio 2012 along with the open source
unit testing framework NUnit.
Shipments of the updated courseware begin immediately.
