ADO.NET Courseware Updated to Visual Studio 2012
October 9, 2013.
Object Innovations has revised its ADO.NET courseware, targeting both
Windows desktop and Web platforms:
The revised courseware uses .NET 4.5 and Visual Studio 2012. The main change is the use throughout
of the LocalDB version of SQL Server 2012 Express. LocalDB is recommended by Microsoft for development.
A new appendix discusses moving from LocalDB to SQL Server.
The courseware comes with
separate lab manuals that have detailed instructions for labs implementing ADO.NET
programs with Windows Forms clients (course 4120) and ASP.NET Web Forms clients (course 4121).
It is completely feasible to present the courses to mixed audiences consisting of both Windows
and Web programmers.
The previous versions of the courses using Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Studio 2008 remain available.
Shipments of the revised courseware begin immediately.
